On Lotus Domino-Mail-Servers, attachments occupy more than 80% of storage
capacity. With DSO typically 70% of data is moved to EMC Centera. Backup time
decreases to 30%.
DSO also works with any Domino-Database without any change on database
templates.
Users cannot detect any change in the behavior or the response time of their
databases, even in large environments with several thousand databases.
Local replicas will contain all attachments. The Fulltext-Index works also with
attachments that are moved to the Centera.
The DSO is peace of Software, including the Centera-API, installed on the
Domino-Servers. A comfortable Administration Database helps to configure even
large Systems in a very short time. A statistic shows how many attachments are
removed from the Domino-Server and restored from the Centera.
