Northern Parklife
Northern Storage Suite is a software solution that is integrated with EMC Celerra. This integration brings content quota management and storage resource management to Celerra environments.
Northern Storage Suite complements EMC Celerra with the following functionality:
- - Real-time Storage Quotas: Hard control over directory size and usage by user, or soft control for monitored growth and enhanced accountability
- - File Blocking: Preventing specific file types from being saved, extension-based real-time scanning & scheduled binary-level scanning preserve system performance
- - Enterprise-wide Reporting & Trending: Identification of how resources are currently being used & how they will be used in the future; regular updates, analysis & strategy recommendations
- - End-user Self-management: Distribution of interactive user-centric reports that detail an individual's largest, oldest, duplicate & media files; encourage end-users to be pro-active in the drive for efficient storage use
- - Storage Chargeback: Billing & reporting to spread cost awareness and encourage, or demand, storage efficiency
